Our Team

Patty Karlin has a RN degree from University of California, San Francisco; her specialty is neonatal intensive care. She also obtained a MPH degree in Virology and Immunology from the School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley, specializing in HIV/AIDS.

Leif Steinhour has a background as a developer of wireless products in China, Korea, and Japan. He graduated from Rice University in Texas with a joint major in physics and mathematics. Prior to his employment with Silk Parasol Corporation he worked as a staff engineer on prototype inventions in the area of sports recreation and biomechanics. He has also served as a technical advisor on patent issues to a number of independent inventors. He is currently employed by Oceanics.
